The puraDYN
Success Story

In 2007, Hare Express, Inc., a just-in-time delivery service to the automotive industry,
exceeded 100 million miles without an engine oil change using the puraDYN® oil filtration system. Hare
Express operates a fleet of 150 over-the-road trucks and 230 tractor trailers.

In 2007 Wastequip, Inc., the leading U.S. manufacturer of waste handling, recycling and material handling equipment was named as an exclusive distributor in the waste industry

In 2006, the

puraDYN® system was used by US Department of Energy for a 3-year evaluation on bypass filtration technology (2002-2005.)  Final results show 89% reduction in oil purchase and usage.

In 2000, Asplundh Tree Expert Company, the largest vegetation management company in the world with one of the largest private fleets in the US, began installing puraDYN® systems on all of its new equipment — trucks, chippers and aerial lifts.

Significant environmental awards and recognition for puraDYN include:

ISO 9001:2000 Certified

In January 2006, puraDYN received ISO 9001:2000 re-certification from independent auditor Perry Johnson, Inc.

ISO 9001:2000 is a series of internationally-accepted, multi-part quality management systems for industry-wide standardization applied to manufacturing and service organizations as determined by the Internal Organization for Standardization.

Certified by California EPA as a ''Pollution Prevention Technology''

The effectiveness of puraDYN® equipment was recognized by the California Environmental Protection Agency in 1994 and again in 1998 and certified as a “Pollution Prevention Technology.”

On August 31, 2003, the puraDYN® Bypass Oil Filtration System was once again re-certified as a Pollution Prevention Technology.

The certificate states, in part, “The puraDYN® System has been shown to be an effective means of extending engine oil change intervals without adversely affecting engine wear or performance.  The Bypass Oil Filtration System filters a portion of the total oil flow, removing particulate matter, water, coolant, and fuel.  Extended drain intervals reduce the use of new oil, generation of used oil, and potential of spills while draining and handling used oil."

Extension of drain intervals reduce:

1) use of new oil
2) generation of used oil
3) potential of spills while draining and transporting used oil

The certification also states that 'The puraDYN significant environmental awards and recognition for puraDYN include: Bypass Oil Filtration system is re-certified as a Pollution Prevention technology when operated according to puraDYN's standards and specifications."

This certification is important for puraDYN, as California is rated 'Number 1' in ecology-related issues, and recognizes the negative impact waste oil is having on our environment.

The Florida Governor’s Award for New Technology

1998 Discover Magazine Awards

Byron Lefebvre, puraDYN's Technical Director, was honored as a finalist in the 1998 Discover Magazine Awards for "Technological Innovation" for puraDYN's Filter-Plus filter with the time-released additives. He was selected as a finalist from 4,000 entrants, including industry giants Lockheed Martin for the F-22 Raptor jet fighter and IBM for a new computer.

The American Oceans Campaign

The American Oceans Campaign (AOC), endorsed the puraDYN® bypass oil filtration system as “having enormous pollution prevention and energy conservation potential.”  AOC works to safeguard the vitality of the oceans and our coastal waters, and seeks to ensure healthy sources of food and coastal recreation as well as protect the ocean for future generations. This endorsement was significant for the company, and underscores the unique value of a product that actually increases profit margins while decreasing pollutants that harm our natural environment.
